About

Alistair is a writer based in Manchester, in the North of England. He lives with his wife, son and an extremely precocious dachshund named Millie.

Starting from initial experience in short stories and videogames, Alistair has been increasingly focusing his efforts on screenwriting in all forms, due to the appealing visual nature of such composition. His genre interest is broad, ranging from romance and comedy drama , through to thriller and speculative fiction.

He has previously been published in the short story market and, more recently, has been working with directors on narration scripting, as well as some short form web features.

He has a B.Sc. in Business Information Systems, a M.Sc. in Computer Science and, most recently a B.A. from the Open University following the completion of their Advanced Creative Writing course. He has unfortunately never worked as an actor, long distance lorry driver, chicken coop attendant, journalist, ski instructor, or sold sky tv contracts. It is a concern that this may limit the breadth of his narrative voice, although hopefully this can be overcome by avoiding stories about vanity, prostitute killing, farming and narcissism.
