Horace the Hedghog

Horace the Hedghog was a children’s series broadcast on BBC radio during the 1950’s. Over 60 individual stories were broadcast, mainly during Listen with Mother. Other stories also feature in BBC Children’s Annuals of the period.
Each episode was written by Margaret Cotterill, who sadly passed away in 1999, following the unexpected death of her daughter Jean, who, as a child, had been the inspiration for the stories.

The rights of the character and stories are currently held by Alistair Hughes, who is currently working on the original scripts out of a desire to see these entertaining and inspiring stories reach a new generation.
